Starting today, the PS4 Patch 1.17 and Xbox Patch v753 are live in ARK Survival Evolved. Here you can see what to expect.
The largest console patch in Ark Survival Evolved is here. The patch includes new creatures such as the Equus, which also has a unicorn mutation. Starting today, survivors on console will also be able to build bases underwater.
The patch has been delayed for so long because the inventory has also received an extensive overhaul. It needed to be fully functional before the patch goes live.
PS4 Patch 1.17, Xbox One Patch v753 bring new dinos
The new console patch is version v256 for PC. Besides the major overhaul of the interface, new dinos have also come to the survival MMO:
- Equus: A mix of a zebra and a large horse. It serves the survivor as a mount and to carry loads.
- Leedsichthys: A giant fish that can swallow humans in one gulp. The carnivore is not intelligent enough to be tamed.
- Ichthyornis: Resembles a modern seagull. Once tamed, they are loyal companions to the survivor, who prefer to sit on his shoulder. From time to time they bring their owner fish.
- Iguanodon: A large herbivore. The spikes on its thumbs make it an excellent farmer. It collects seeds from fruits.
- Unicorn: An extremely rare mutation of the Equus. The unicorn came as a surprise to Ark, which made the community very happy.
