Impatiently waiting, fans of Ark Survival Evolved were looking forward to the patch notes for the new update for PC. The patch is version v259 and includes fixes, fixes, and more fixes. There is also a bit of new content.
In Ark Survival Evolved, there is a new patch for PC – v259. This mainly brings fixes to the survival MMO and further improvements and adjustments. New content is sparse this time.
Ark Survival Evolved: PC Patch v259 – Many fixes and a touch of new content
As lead designer Jeremy Stieglitz had already announced, the new update mainly contains fixes and improvements. Wildcard released a huge list of various fixes. The developers probably decided to tackle these small, annoying issues and clear them away with a patch. The list also contains larger adjustments.
Here are a few examples of the fixes:
- Traps function now always work after restarting a game/server.
- Cooking pots no longer produce infinite dye.
- Players can now receive lava damage when they are unconscious.
- Wooden cages no longer heal themselves when picked up.
- Dinos placed in a cage no longer float up and out of the cage. Glitch fix.
- Players should now be able to walk into fallen redwood trees again.
- The escape mechanics of dinos have been fixed so they no longer run endlessly into walls.
- Babies no longer consume extra food when they want to regain health. Regaining health costs no food for babies.
- Beehives no longer stack on top of each other.
This is just a small excerpt of the numerous fixes in Ark Survival Evolved.
ARK PC Update: New content in patch v259
This time there is only a small touch of new content in Ark Survival Evolved. The list is significantly smaller than that of the fixes.
- Tek-Tapejara saddle
- New skill:
Crafting speeddisappears and Crafting skill takes its place. The quality of crafted items increases by 33% for 100 points. The item then shows your name and tribe name. - Corpse locator: From now on, a beam of light will be shot into the sky when a player dies. This way you can find your body much easier. This new feature is automatically enabled on official servers.
- New host options: Disable “structure placement collision”; Use “single-player” settings; “fast decay” option.
- New icons for kill, death, speech, and talk.
Otherwise, there are a few adjustments with the new update for PC. For example, a few dinos and items have been adjusted or dino screams have been added. The v259 should be released today, June 22, on PC. When this update will come to PS4 and Xbox One is not yet known.
