The latest giant update – v257 – from ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to PS4 and Xbox One. Patch 1.20 includes new dinos and Tek technologies. It also contains significant adjustments to the volcano and the center in general.
The latest update for PC was packed with new content in Ark Survival Evolved. There are, among other things, new dinos, a cloning machine, a Tek cave, and the first endgame content. Here you can see the added dinos and Tek technologies in the video.
Xbox patch is already in certification, tomorrow it’s PS4’s turn
In a tweet, ARK’s community manager shared that the patch for Xbox One is already in certification. Tomorrow, on May 16th, it’s the PlayStation 4’s turn. Jat expects that the Xbox patch will only come to the console tomorrow. Regardless of the fact that it is already in the certification process.
Here in Germany, the update might be released due to the time difference on Tuesday night or Wednesday. Provided everything goes smoothly and the patch passes certification.
Ark PS4, Xbox One: Patch notes for Update 1.20 – What’s included
Console players can expect a lot of new content. The consoles will be brought up to the same level as the PC version v257. That’s all you need to know:
- Overhaul of the volcano: Ark: No destructive lava – volcano in the center will become a Tek cave
- Lowering of the level cap: Ark: Update lowers level cap to 100 – “105 was just a weird number”
- First endgame content: Ark: Ascension – endgame will be a kind of “New Game+”

Especially important is the active volcano. If you have built in the danger zone, you should urgently take precautions.
On PS4, the patch will have the version number 1.20 and on Xbox One the number v754. We will keep you informed.
