The Dino MMO ARK has not only reached a new milestone but is also hosting a special event for Halloween – featuring zombies.
On the night when the Dodos scream …
A few days ago, ARK: Survival Evolved achieved a new milestone in its relatively short history. Just in July, we reported that the dino survival game sold 1 million copies on Steam shortly after its early access launch, but since then ARK has gained even more traction. To be exact, the number of buyers has doubled to 2 million since then.
To celebrate this (and perhaps Halloween), the developers are organizing a special event in the last week of October fitting for the spookiest time of the year. For a week, the nights will be longer and the days colder, bringing forth the most gruesome things players can imagine: zombies.
Not ordinary ones, but in the form of undead Dodos that seek to hunt players for life and loot. If you manage to take down the flightless feathered creatures, special candies will be available that can only be obtained during this time. Those skilled with a knife can even carve a pumpkin and display it with a creepy face in front of their base.
