On Tuesday, February 25th, the next expansion of the dinosaur survival hit ARK: Survival Evolved will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. With the release of Genesis, many new contents will be brought into the survival MMO. We will tell you when and what time the servers will start and what content you can expect.
ARK Genesis was supposed to be released in December 2019, then postponed to January 2020, and is now scheduled to be released at the end of February. At least if everything goes according to plan, February 25th is set for release and continues the incredible story of ARK.
- Update 07:00: Genesis could not be started on PC. This has now been fixed.
- Update 06:50: Xbox One players can now load the “Genesis Part 1 Addon” to initiate the correct download.

When do the private servers start?
The release of an expansion for the dinosaur survival hit ARK has always been associated with some chaos. Rushes on the servers, everyone wants to download at the same time, and bugs plague the first days. This will probably also be the case with Genesis.
What do the hosts say? We asked our contact at the server hoster Nitrado for information on when Genesis will be rolled out to the servers.
- They will start updating the servers at 1:00 AM.
- Due to the high demand and the technical challenges of the update, you should expect a delay of up to 3 hours.
- By around 4:00 AM on February 26, your Genesis server should be ready. If you’re lucky, even earlier.
