The new update 274 of ARK brings a lot of innovations, including flying dinosaurs with multiple seats and a significant improvement in performance.
Despite all the fuss around paid DLCs for ARK, the game continues to be developed continuously to present players with new content and improvements. The latest patch, version 274, should bring some relief, especially for heavily utilized computers (which is basically all of them). Although the improvement is just a first step, the render performance of structures has improved by about 30%, which should significantly relieve some PCs. Additionally, the game now requires about 300 MB less RAM when there is a lot of destruction happening on screen.

But the patch has even more to offer. With the Tapejara, there is now a flying dinosaur that can accommodate multiple players. While one player skillfully navigates the oversized bird through the skies, the “passenger” can comfortably observe the world below or hunt hostile creatures.
There are also some innovations in the crafting area. To make the night not so dark and to avoid giving away your position with the glow of torches, players can now build night vision devices to see clearly even in the darkest of darkness.
There is still no end in sight for the updates. Numerous other contents are planned for the future, such as underwater caves, as well as “Tek Caves,” which seem to be a bit more futuristic. Additionally, there will be mating behaviors and life cycles for aquatic creatures, as well as DirectX 12 support for Windows 10, which should again mean a performance improvement of about 20%.
