The Dino Adventure ARK: Survival Evolved does not offer true crossplay. Only Xbox and PC can play together under certain conditions. What is possible, we will show you on MeinMMO.
If you want to play in ARK spontaneously with different platforms, you need luck. Only a few platforms can connect with each other, and the version is crucial.

- PC/Steam – PC/Epic (dedicated servers)

ARK offers very limited crossplay options. Only with the Xbox version from the Microsoft Store or Xbox Game Pass can you play together with friends on Xbox consoles. Even the connection between Steam and Epic requires certain conditions.

PS4 – PS5: Within the PlayStation cosmos, playing ARK together is no problem. You can invite each other via the friends list or manually join your players’ server through the server list.
Xbox One – Xbox Series: The two console generations from Microsoft also do not put obstacles in your way. Use the friends or server list for joining.
PC/Steam – PC/Epic (dedicated servers): When mixing Steam and Epic, you need a private server. Your private in-game servers and public servers do not allow combined play.
There are different providers of private servers. Before selecting one, make sure that the provider supports combined play between Epic and Steam. This is a special server setting that is not always available.
iOS – Android: The mobile versions share the server list. You can participate together in public games, but you can also rent private servers from hosting providers.
Does ARK have crossplay on Switch? No, this version is separated from all other versions.

How does crossplay with Xbox and PC work? ARK only offers crossplay between PC and Xbox with the “Windows 10 version”. Therefore, you must have this version on your PC – which is part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC. On Xbox, it is simply the normal version.
If you bought ARK on Steam or Epic, you cannot play with your Xbox friends.
If your whole group has the correct version, you can join your teammates via the server or friends list.
ARK still captivates thousands of players 8 years after its release. The survival hit offers an amazing amount of content, a large community, and can entertain for many hundreds of hours.
