In an interview with Total Film, Armitage spoke about this experience. When he was asked about his most significant memento from the set, he said: “Orcrist, the sword from ‘The Hobbit.’ I never expected to receive the original sword from filming as a gift.”
The sword, a magnificent elven blade that originates from the story of Gondolin and was possessed by Thorin, holds great significance both in the film world and presumably for Armitage personally. Orcrist
