The Safari Zone is Singapore from Pokémon GO and could also bring us 2 new Shinies. For the first time, Shiny Pottrott and Lapras were caught there.
That’s why something could be coming our way this weekend: In the past, Niantic has gifted global players with Safari Zones. Recently, Shiny Enton could be caught for a weekend. This was due to the Safari Zone in Brazil.
Now there are two new Shinies to catch in the Safari Zone, Lapras and Pottrott. Niantic has already announced a global release for Pottrott, while nothing is known yet about Lapras.
What we know about the 2 new Shinies in Pokémon GO
Here the Shinies were found: The Safari Zone in Singapore is currently in full swing, providing players there, along with the new Shinies, rare Pokémon like Icognito, Dratini, or Tropius.
So far, the two Shinies can only be caught there. No one has sighted the Shinies outside of Singapore.
This is the status of the chances for Shinies in Germany: For Pottrott, you can be sure that it will soon be catchable in Germany. Niantic has already made this clear in their announcement regarding the Safari Zone.
However, nothing is known yet about Lapras. This Pokémon was not previously announced as Shiny, and it is all the more surprising that it is now available as a shiny version in the game. Whether it will soon be catchable worldwide is likely but not confirmed.
That’s why this weekend will be interesting: In the past, Pokémon like Wingull, Pinsir, and Enton had their Shiny rates massively increased worldwide on the weekend the respective Safari Zone took place.
There was a higher chance of encountering this Shiny in the wild. Additionally, the spawns of the Pokémon were increased.
If this is also the case for this Safari Zone, then there will be changed spawns this Saturday and Sunday, the 20th and 21st of April.
Everything should be focused especially on Pottrott. Whether Lapras will appear more frequently there remains to be seen.
