The servers of Trion Worlds are victims of a DDOS attack. The launch of the Open Beta of the sandbox MMO ArcheAge is expected to remain unaffected.
According to the community manager “Ocho”, the servers of Trion Worlds became victims of a Denial-of-Service attack (DDOS) overnight (US time). This was communicated by the night shift at Trion Worlds. At the moment, they are working with partners and authorities to ensure that the servers continue to run and that those responsible are apprehended.
The live games of Trion Worlds (e.g. Rift, Defiance) are online and running. They also intend to proceed with the launch of the open beta of ArcheAge. However, during the DDOS attacks, it is possible that the servers may become unstable and that the website may go down. Additionally, players may need to authenticate more frequently.
The Open Beta of ArcheAge is expected to begin in these minutes (Thursday, 7 PM our time) and will last until Monday.
