The new MMORPG ArcheAge Unchained can be played by selected players on test servers. Already in the first days, there were long queues.
Who can test Unchained? ArcheAge Unchained opened its test servers on October 1. Since then, all pre-order customers and selected representatives of the press have been allowed to test content such as:
- the new shop
- the Battle Pass
- the reworked graphics
- and other features of the MMORPG.
The interest in Unchained is very high and is already generating queues during the first tests.
How long were the queues? As the website MMOPRG.org.pl reports, players were in the queue for more than an hour during prime time.
The number of those waiting exceeded 2,000, which is extremely high for testing an MMORPG that is already playable as a free-to-play version.

ArcheAge without Pay2Win could be successful
Why is the interest so high? Some players describe ArcheAge as one of the best MMORPGs on the market. From their perspective, Pay2Win has destroyed much of the game’s potential.
The more they look forward to Unchained. The new game is completely identical in content and update rhythm to the previous ArcheAge. The new 6.0 update is also set to be released at the same time.
However, Unchained does not have a subscription model or other advantages that players can buy for real money. Instead, there are:
- a free Battle Pass that contains old Pay2Win content.
- a paid pass that only brings cosmetic updates.
When will Unchained be released? The new version of ArcheAge was originally scheduled to be released on September 30. However, to fix all bugs and remove all Pay2Win items, the release was postponed.
Unchained is officially set to be released on October 15. The cheapest pre-order version costs 26 euros and also secures access to the test server.
Recently, the Buy2Play MMORPG Astellia was released. We compared the two games:
