The Free2Play MMO Rift will become more expensive with Patch 3.4. This change has already occurred with ArcheAge .
Trion Worlds is adjusting the prices. Players have already complained with ArcheAge that everything has become a bit more expensive indirectly.
This is announced with the Patch 3.4 by Trion Worlds also for Rift. They are shrinking the credit packages and reducing the quantity discount for multi-month subscriptions.
Subscriptions will become more expensive …
- The 1-month subscription remains unchanged. It stays at €12.99.
- 3 months will soon cost instead of €35.97 €38.97.
- The 6-month subscription will rise from €59.94 to €62.94.
- One year of Patron in Rift is currently available for €107.88, with 3.4 it will cost €113.88.
Trion Worlds states: Current patrons can extend their subscription at the old conditions as long as it is not interrupted.
… and Credits too
Credits will also become more expensive. The package sizes are changing.
- Currently, there are 975 credits for €5. The smallest package will now include 750 credits for €4.99.
- The €20 package currently gives 4220 credits, from 3.4 only 3250.
- For €50 one currently receives 11,050 credits, soon only 8500.
- And for €100 one currently gets 24,050 credits – with 3.4 it will be 18,500.
The change has already occurred last month with the sandbox MMO ArcheAge. There too, the credit packages were “standardized” and reduced (to 825, 3575, 9350, and 20350). The “quantity discount” for multi-month patron status has been reduced – the prices for one, three, or six months of patron status correspond to those in Rift from Patch 3.4.
Trion Worlds cites exchange rates between markets as the reasons for these measures.
