Not everything is going smoothly with the MMORPG ArcheAge. A Producer Letter was supposed to placate the community, but the exact opposite has happened.
When Trion Worlds released the Producer Letter for ArcheAge, the community went wild on Reddit.
None of what was said in the letter addressed the problems currently plaguing ArcheAge that concern the community.
Players see many issues in ArcheAge:
- The crafting system is hardly usable due to a lack of materials.
- The item shop offers too many overpowered items, making ArcheAge a Pay2Win title for many players.
- The balancing between the classes is off…
In short: Players are angry.

Players are furious
The fact that the Producer Letter does not address these issues, but only mentions wanting to do something about it, was for many the last straw.
Trion Worlds wants to translate the changes and also the developer diaries from the Korean studio faster and put them online in the future. This frustrates some in the community, as they feel that everything is being shifted onto the Korean developers while Trion Worlds wants to shirk the responsibility.
Moreover, fans have heard such promises from Trion Worlds countless times before and have clearly had enough, as many express visually.

Changes are necessary
Many believe that Trion only wants to conduct damage control and does not take the players’ problems into account or ignores them. However, Associate Producer Celestrata later addressed this, stating that the game needs to be pushed forward and the problems must be tackled.
That was not received very joyfully either.
