In ArcheAge , a final warning has been issued against cheaters and botters – a new program is now active. We have the details.
For the next violation, permanent ban – without mercy
The community manager of ArcheAge, Celestrata, announced in the official game forum that a new program for detection and identification has been active for several weeks, allowing cheating players to be tracked down. Those who have already been caught by the program using third-party software, such as bots, hacks, and other cheat tools, have received a final warning in the form of an email.
Celestrata clearly states that any cheaters will be mercilessly banned from the game from now on – regardless of how much time and money they have already invested in the game. People with multiple accounts should not feel safe either, as the team can now easily trace the connection to the player’s main account – and this account will also be subjected to the sanction.
“We don’t like banning people from the game who are having fun, but creating a fair gaming environment for our players has always been and will always be our top priority.”

In the corresponding forum post, the community reacts with mixed feelings. While a large part of the players welcome that something is being done against botters and hackers, another part wonders why these people are even being given a second chance after they have already made use of such programs. Celestrata responds to this as well:
“Do not see this as a second chance, but as a last chance. From here on, we will enforce our policies regarding permanent bans, regardless of how much someone has invested in the game.”
Whether these grand words will be followed by action remains to be seen. Just in the recent past, they had taken strong action, when a guild defeated the world boss Leviathan using a glitch.
