In ArcheAge, the winners of a creative competition have been selected, showcasing a sense of humor.
For the last beta of the sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge, Trion Worlds came up with something special and asked for player creativity. They were to provide a design for a sail. The five best, they promised, would be selected and richly rewarded with a Founder’s package.
Hundreds of submissions were received, including true treasures. However, they didn’t want to limit themselves to just five. Therefore, they quickly declared two sails with kraken motifs as both worthy of prizes and awarded a bonus prize to a clever but not very artistically demanding “meta” sail. On the sail, it read: “404. Sails not found.”
Next Thursday, the next closed beta phase will continue.
