The sandpark MMO ArcheAge is now generously rewarding active players, after upsetting inactive gamers with gifts.
We reported about “Dolfingate”, as the shitstorm is now called, on Thursday evening. ArcheAge had given some ex-players gifts that they could collect in their ArcheAge account. The intention behind this was that they would log in again. These gift packages contained, besides the usual boost and bonus stuff, the dolphin “Cyanfin”, a special mount.
This dolphin had previously only been available as an extremely rare prize in the RNG supply boxes. Some players had invested several hundred euros in these boxes to get it, and still did not win it.
The fact that “ex” players received this dolphin and other bonuses for free, while loyal customers missed out, triggered a shitstorm that was even intense by ArcheAge standards. Anyone who knows the history of the game knows: that means something.
What players can currently claim in ArcheAge
ArcheAge has now responded and is giving active players something. The distinction is now only made between “Has ever paid something” and “Has never paid anything.”
All these gifts can only be collected until March 31. To be eligible for these gifts, players must have logged in at least once in the last 30 days. The counting starts from March 20th at 0:59 backwards for 30 days.
Players who have never transferred money to ArcheAge, including those who purchased the patron status via the auction house with APEX, will receive the “small package.”

• 10 XP Boost Potions
• 1 Lucky Sunpoint

This means that ArcheAge is giving many players a dolphin and other valuable items, which now simply reside in the Glyph account and just need to be activated. Here is the link.
Whales receive additional treats
The only ones who might still be upset are the “whales” who invested a lot of money in the RNG boxes to get the dolphin. They were also considered: they will receive a token for every dolphin box they purchased. With one token, they can collect any previously available supply box on Mirage Island in Patch 1.7.
These “gifts” can be collected via Glyph until March 31. They will then be sent into the game.
However, one must be careful: in our case, both packages were offered to us on the account page. After redeeming the “smaller package”, the larger one was no longer available for selection. This seems to be a known issue. (#Dolfingate2)
