The latest update of ArcheAge is called Blood Cannon and brings not only exciting instances for PvE players, but also some interesting innovations for everyone who likes to hit other players.
Fair Conditions in the Arena
If there’s one major point of contention in the PvP communities of various games, it’s the increase of attributes in PvP. When better equipment determines victory and no longer the skill of individual players, the outcry is quick to follow. To address this, ArcheAge now introduces two new arenas. Both in 3vs3 and 1vs1 formats.
The special feature: Equipment stats, potions, and buffs have no effect in the arenas! Instead, each character can choose from 8 different attribute distributions at the start of the match to enter the battle. However, a suitable weapon is still needed to access all desired abilities.
The arenas can be visited 5 times per day, and if you still want to hit your friends and foes afterwards, you need to spend some gold coins on the issue.
Sieges – Changing Balance of Power and 100vs100!
Further major innovations are coming in the area of sieges. The limit of formerly 70 players per side is lifted and increased to 100. However, the most important novelty is that attackers and defenders start the battle with different numbers of players. At the start of a fresh siege, the attackers already have 100 warriors on their side, while defenders must manage with 60 fighters. Only after 40 minutes of gameplay, 40 additional defenders join to restore the balance of power.
Additionally, it is good to know: Buildings with less than 50% health points are now considered “ruins” and can no longer stop movements.
