In ArcheAge Unchained, a dungeon was disabled due to causing issues. It was originally intended to be sorted out anyway, but this has now been brought forward.
What happened? On November 27, the developers disabled the Ayanad Library dungeon in ArcheAge Unchained, citing severe performance issues as the reason.
On reddit, players report that the boss fights in the dungeon not only caused problems within the instance itself but also led to lags across the entire server.
In the official message to players, the developers stated that the dungeon was slated to be decommissioned in a future update anyway. This has now happened earlier than originally planned.
However, the deactivation applies only to the new Unchained version and not to the original ArcheAge, where you can still visit the dungeon.
Will the library return at all?
When will it come back? The developer message stated that the dungeon was to be phased out. Whether it will return at all is currently uncertain.
Players who have already made progress in quests related to the dungeon will have those quests updated in a future update, which is planned for release in December.
After that, all tasks should be able to continue as usual.
What kind of dungeon is this? The Ayanad Library is a dungeon in the Diamond Coast. It consists of three floors and is designed for levels 50+:
- Ground Floor: Level 50+
- 1st Floor: Level 51+
- 2nd Floor: Level 53+
The dungeon was introduced in 2015 and is commonly used for leveling characters to level 55. It is also part of the quest line for the Ayanad Earrings.
The dungeon wasn’t the only issue with ArcheAge Unchained. Even the new Battle Pass had to be deactivated. There have also been issues with the servers:
