ArcheAge received a new patch on December 9, which brought some changes. The update named “Wintermaiden” added numerous new items to the shop, but also implemented many simplifications and improvements to the game. Let’s take a quick look at the highlights.
Improvements and Simplifications
The feedback from the players has been taken to heart and numerous improvements have been made. Above all, the Ayanad system has been simplified to accommodate frustrated players a bit. The former nearly 20 different designs have now been made into three simplified variants. This means that you no longer need to obtain the exact design of your favorite weapon, but simply one of the overarching categories. For the desired sword, for example, a “design for Ayanad weapons.”
A new type of gem, the “refined Lunagems” is also intended to reduce frustration. While inserting these gems can still fail, the gems already in the weapon will not be destroyed! This is meant to give players a safe way to further upgrade weapons without fearing to lose all progress.

To decorate your houses, there are numerous decorations, from colorful fairy lights to Christmas stars to decorated Christmas trees, you can decorate your home more lavishly than an average American suburban street.
