In the sandbox MMO ArcheAge, the first Black Pearl, a special ship, was constructed last week with great effort and was sunk over the weekend.
About a week ago, the first “legally” built Black Pearl was launched. The German guild “Impact” had completed it in the east of the EU server Kyprosa. It was the first of its kind in the ArcheAge distributed by Trion Worlds. Naturally, such an achievement in a heated PvP-oriented game attracts a lot of hostility. And so the Black Pearl from Impact quickly had a sort of target on its hull. Shortly after it was completed, rival guilds already announced that it would be a pleasure to sink it. And nothing in ArcheAge is indeed eternal.
On Sunday evening, the guild “Dragoons” also uploaded a kill video and accompanied it with the theme tune of the pirate series “Black Sails,” creating quite an atmosphere. While in other MMOs a boss kill is celebrated, in the sandbox of ArcheAge, player guilds and their achievements take on this role.
A chance for revenge on a large scale is surely coming soon in the waters of Kyprosa or on November 4th: then the northern continent Auroria opens and the battles among the guilds will enter the second round.
