In the sandbox MMO ArcheAge, the restrictions on APEX have been lifted since last night.
APEX are, as it turns out, prone to “difficult situations” in the structure of ArcheAge. And when something goes wrong, players try to exploit it by redeeming the APEX multiple times. This has happened twice. With a fresh build that was supposed to be about something entirely different, an exploit became possible. During the fix to address this, a second exploit emerged. As a result, the APEX were removed from the game and deactivated twice.
Now there was an uncertain phase with the technical difficulties, so they were turned off again. Since last night, Trion Worlds seems to be confident that the situation is fully under control: The APEX are back in the game.
The “absence” of the APEX has shown how important they have become for frequent players. There were many complaints from gamers who have considerable amounts of gold asking when the APEX would be back. They wanted to finance their playtime with it. Without APEX, the incentive to earn gold in the game is likely significantly reduced.
However, some complain that the price of APEX has now risen to dizzying heights.
