Arcane's showrunner responds to fan criticism regarding Season 2: "I respect that people express that"

The second season of the League of Legends series Arcane delights the fans, but it also faces criticism due to its high pace. The series creator Christian Linke has now reacted and shows understanding.

What is the criticism? The majority of viewers are also excited about the second season of the LoL series Arcane, but some criticize it. The events happen too quickly for some fans in this season.

Too many plotlines have been opened that, at best, should be continued in another season. Especially compared to the first season, which set a much slower pace and took its time for developments, the latest season now feels rushed.

What does the series creator say? Christian Linke said in an interview with Gamesradar+ among other things:

I respect it when people voice their opinions. You are right – the vast majority of the audience seems to be satisfied. But there are people who say: ‘It’s rushed. What’s going on here?’

He further explained that the second season was approached differently overall. They wanted to take certain risks, and so the episodes were structured differently than what was familiar from the first season.

Christian Linke also said that while the disappointment of the fans does not make him happy, he would respect their dissatisfaction. At the same time, he added that you can never please everyone anyway.

Some fans wanted more champions and story, while others believed that too much had already happened.

There are people who say it is too rushed, too much going on. And then there is the other side: ‘Where is Camille? She belongs to Piltover. Where is Blitzcrank? Where is Twitch? Why didn’t you include them?’

He concluded his statement by saying that everyone involved in the series is doing their best to bring in the right amount of story.
