Players have found a way to take down a fierce opponent from ARC Raiders with just a simple action using a common item. The community shows how to do it and how not to try it.
What is this method? Players have discovered how to completely take out a Rocketeer with just a quick action. You only need a simple Wasp Driver, which can be taken from defeated Wasps that usually pose no significant challenge and appear quite frequently. Rocketeers, on the other hand, pose a critical danger level, are heavily armored, and are not easy to defeat – let alone survive.
When you throw a Wasp Driver, it stuns other Raiders, but also ARCs for a short period. A duration that is long enough to serve its purpose.
Throwing the Driver at a Rocketeer damages the engines, and the ARC crashes to the ground. If it takes additional damage from colliding with buildings or other structures during the crash, the machine is destroyed upon impact. And that, without investing a bullet in the opponent.
“It’s a really dumb strategy” = Embark is listening, be quiet
What should you pay special attention to with this trick? Based on numerous clips from players who have successfully tested this method – as well as less successfully, as you can see in this clip on Reddit – these important points for proper execution can be established:
- You must throw the Driver over the Rocketeer so that there is enough time for it to stun at least 2 engines. Otherwise, the machine will not fall to the ground.
- You have to throw the Driver at a specific angle so that it does not stun the core or the weapon first. It must be the engines.
- If the Rocketeer collides with multiple objects during the fall and takes more damage, the likelihood of it exploding upon impact with the ground increases.
- Have a Plan B in case your throw doesn’t go right …

How does the community react to this trick? The community on Reddit seems eager to master the method themselves. In the comments of various threads on the topic, the strategies we mentioned above have been developed.
However, one thing concerns them: Embark Studios has likely become aware of this trick as well. Now the community is trying all sorts of things to keep the creators of ARC Raiders from nerfing the trick:
“No, the strategy is really bad, stay away from it,” writes Kosame_san, adding, “Embark is listening.”
Instead of nerfing strong tricks in ARC Raiders, players desire different changes and updates from Embark. One of these wishes seems to have been heard, as the creators of the extraction shooter addressed a criticism that was a thorn in the side of many players: ARC Raiders focuses on better quality, brings a change that players gratefully accept
