ARC Raiders has released a new update, and this actually fixes an exploit that has undeservedly rewarded many Raiders. Anyone who still tries to outsmart the system will now justly be punished.
When was the patch released? The patch was recently released on November 27, 2025, at 10:30 AM German time across all platforms. On Steam, the update is about 1.7 GB and brings some improvements to the game.
Patch Notes 1.4.0 Overview
What changes with the patch? On the official blog post by ARC Raiders, the patch notes for update 1.4.0 are listed in English.
There are several bug fixes and a solution for the glitched areas. Recently, we reported on a fix for the locked areas in Patch 1.3.0. But as it turned out, Raiders could still access these areas using barricades – the exploit had not been fixed yet. This time, it looks different.
Embark has come up with something interesting, because according to the patch notes, your character will be fried if you attempt to exploit it. We can’t show you exactly how it works, but we advise you to steer clear of the exploit at this point. Unless you want to lose your loot. Here’s what you can expect:
Content and Bug Fixes
- Exploit mitigation mechanisms have been added for all locked rooms across all maps.
- Fixed the gun exploit that allowed you to shoot quicker than intended by swapping to a quick use item and back.
- The exterior access to Spaceport’s Control Tower locked room has been blocked off.
- Fixed the issue that sometimes caused low resolution textures in the Main Menu.
- Fixed players being able to push each other by jumping on each other’s backs.
- Fixed lighting artifacts that would sometimes occur upon entering maps.
- Raider Voice now correctly respects the selected voice option after restarting the game.
The developers have been tirelessly working since the release to keep players satisfied with their support. They are also taking action against cheaters, and if you happened to be in a game with them and lost, you will even get your loot refunded.
