Today, the first patch for Apex Legends went live. Update 1.03 fixes a major issue with crashes and includes additional updates. We summarize them for you.
This is what the patch fixes: Today, on February 13, the first update with version number 1.03 for Apex Legends was released. The first patch for the young free-to-play game addresses a major issue with crashes that players have been complaining about.
Additionally, there are new Valentine’s outfits and various stability and performance improvements.

The patch notes 1.03 of the new update
This major issue is fixed: The new update primarily addresses the crash issue that some players have been experiencing. According to the patch notes, this primarily occurred for players with slower hard drives.
However, it seems that the issues have not completely disappeared. Some are still reporting crashes and connection problems.
The community manager Jay Frechette already announced on Reddit that they are working on the issues.
This is also included in the patch:
- The Valentine’s Day cosmetics, the “Through the Heart” skin and “Love of the Game” Pathfinder banner frames were added. They are available in the store from today until February 19.
- There were various improvements to the user interface.
- Among other things, a glitch that seemingly allowed item duplication was fixed.
- Some points on the map were fixed that could have caused players to glitch through the ground.
