In Apex Legends, the big “Grand Soirée Event” starts with the new patch. For two weeks, the game will be guided by changing modes and new rewards. We will show you what the event has to offer.
This is the Grand Soirée Event: The new event in the style of the “Roaring Twenties” comes with a lot of new content. It will start with today’s patch and run for two weeks.
The special thing: There will be rotating arcade modes every two days for you to discover. In addition, there will be an “Event Prize Chain” where you can rank up to secure new rewards like skins.
What’s included in the Grand Soirée Event
This is how the mode rotation works: In total, seven modes, as announced, are coming that will rotate every two days. Known modes like “Armed and Dangerous” will be included, but also new creations like the mode “DUMMIE’s Big Day.” The plan looks like this:
- Gold Rush Duos: Only golden weapons in duo – January 14/15
- LIVE.DIE.LIVE: Automatic respawn for squad mates when the ring closes – January 16/17
- Third-Person Mode: Play in third person instead of first – January 18/19
- Always Be Closing: The ring does not close slower – January 20/21
- Armed and Dangerous: Only shotguns and snipers with less armor – January 22/23
- Kings Canyon After Dark: Classic map Kings Canyon at night – January 24/25
- DUMMIE’s Big Day – January 26/27/28
This is how you unlock the new rewards: To unlock the event rewards, you need to work your way up the new prize chain. Here’s how it works: You have to complete challenges to secure points. These are again linked to the new rewards. The following skins can be obtained:
The event brings several skins
Each time-limited mode can offer you three challenges worth 1,000 points in total. This means you don’t have to play every day, but can collect points at your own pace. However, there is a special badge for all players who try all modes.
What else is included in the event: In addition to the changing modes and the new skins and rewards, there will be a bonus points weekend starting January 17. Here, there will be bonus challenges worth 500 points.
Additionally, there will be a direct purchase event shop where you can secure the event-appropriate skins. These will also rotate throughout the event.
Patch Notes from January 14
These fixes are included in the patch: In addition to the event, there are also numerous bug fixes provided by the patch. Among other things, crashes are primarily supposed to be fixed. In addition, many visual corrections have been made, such as to the minimap. A curious bug at max level is however missing from the list.
Errors with legend abilities have also been corrected. Among other things, shields within Gibraltar’s protective dome were recharging faster. In addition, Gibraltar can now revive squad members faster within his shield. Crypto’s drone has been improved, while Wraith’s speed was reduced when using her skills.
