In Apex Legends you have a large map named King’s Canyon with various locations. However, not every location promises equally good loot or good survival chances. The following places are particularly sensible, while others are rarely worth it.

The purple areas offer good loot, while the blue zones might still yield decent mid-tier loot. The gray zones, on the other hand, mostly provide weak loot.
The best landing spots in Apex Legends
The following locations either have particularly good loot or they are remote but still have decent yields to find. Whether you prefer to land in a wild combat zone or prefer to gear up quietly is up to your playstyle.
Thunderdome
Where is Thunderdome? This location is located in the remote southwest of the map.
Why is Thunderdome a good idea? First of all, Thunderdome is a purple “high-loot zone”. You will find weapons and items here that rank high on the tier list more often. Additionally, Thunderdome is far away, and you often have little competition while looting.
Once you’re done with Thunderdome, you can head to Skull Town. There, you will often encounter opponents and can make your first kills.
Airbase
Where is Airbase? The Airbase is an airport located in the far west of the map.
Why is Airbase a good idea? Here too, it is a promising purple zone. Good loot can be found on the ground, in buildings, and in parked planes. It is also quite far away and has good connections to the zones Runoff, Skull Town, and Bunker.
Relay
Where is Relay? Relay is located in the northeast of the map.
Why is Relay a good idea? Relay is full of juicy high-tier loot and is also remote. Additionally, there is a convenient balloon here. When you’re done, you can quickly traverse large parts of the map from there and reach the safe ring.
Water Treatment
Where is Water Treatment? The water treatment facility is located directly to the south of the map.
Why is Water Treatment a good idea? Here, there is rarely competition and a lot of strong loot in large, spacious buildings. Additionally, there are high walls that provide good height advantages in combat.
Special case: Hot Zone
Where is the Hot Zone? As a special twist, Apex Legends has a feature called Hot Zone. This is an area that is randomly selected before each game. The respective Hot Zone is marked on the map with a blue circle.
Why is the Hot Zone a good idea? You will find extremely good loot here, including golden weapons that already come with the best attachments. However, the Hot Zone may be heavily populated by players.
Especially if the zone randomly falls on a central location on the map. You have to weigh whether you’re up for wild clashes right from the beginning of the game.
Special case: Supply Ship
Where is the Supply Ship? Another random element is this supply ship. It appears randomly at the beginning of the game and flies to a specific landing spot during the round, which is marked on the map.
To reach the ship, you either have to visit the landing spot later or land on the ship right at the jump (if possible).
Why is the Supply Ship a good idea? Similar to the Hot Zone, the Supply Ship offers good loot opportunities. However, it is very cramped and is often targeted by many players, leading to heated clashes.
Those who are not interested in that will either land there first and eliminate all other arrivals or grab the first loot and jump off again.
