Season 5 of the battle royale shooter Apex Legends is just around the corner. We will tell you when it starts and what to expect.
When does Season 5 start? Today, on May 12, Season 5 of Apex Legends for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One started around 7:15 PM. You can find the patch notes for the Season 5 update along with the Mirage rework here.
What does Season 5 bring? Season 5 of Apex Legends comes with some interesting features. Among them is the new heroine Loba. Loba is at the center of the season. Her misadventures in Kings Canyon caused the destruction of Skull Town, and now you will experience her revenge on Revenant in the first season quest. This is a new PvE mode.
A PvE story in the battle royale shooter
What can you expect in the season quest “The Broken Ghost”? In the season quest of Season 5 of the online shooter Apex Legends, you will search for nine fragments of a mysterious artifact.
- To do this, you collect treasure packs daily in matches
- If you have 5 treasures, you can unlock a PvE mission in Kings Canyon. This is a separate mode, and you will only play with your teammates. There are no enemy players.
- You complete each mission to recover shards of a relic and unlock new story chapters of the quest
- Finally, you assemble the nine pieces of the relic to obtain valuable rewards and uncover a mystery in the story
Who is Loba and what can the new heroine do? Legend Loba Andrade is introduced with Season 5 in Apex Legends. The thief is on a quest for revenge against Revenant, the “hero” from Season 4 of the battle royale shooter. Loba uses the following abilities:
- Thief’s Best Friend: This tactical ability allows Loba to teleport to locations that are hard to reach. She can also escape a fight by throwing her bracelet and teleporting to it.
- Keen Eye: This passive ability allows Loba to see epic and legendary items nearby through walls.
- Black Market Boutique: Loba’s ultimate ability lets the thief teleport loot directly into her inventory. She places a portable device that brings all the loot within a radius to her. Teammates or enemies can take a maximum of two items from it.
What about Battle Pass and download size?
What does the new Battle Pass of Apex Legends offer? Along with the update comes the new Battle Pass, which brings numerous new contents. You can get the Battle Pass for:
- 950 Apex Coins (about €9.50)
- or in a bundle with 25 tier skips for 2800 Apex Coins (about €25)
