Apex Legends professional gifted his Twitch viewers new gaming PCs for Christmas, donated thousands of dollars for a tournament, and even financed a dog’s surgery.
What is the action? The Apex Legends professional “HisWattson” made a very special Christmas gift to his community. He used his advertising revenue on Twitch, which totaled around 25,000 US dollars.
Initially, HisWattson didn’t want to run ads on his Twitch channel. But then he came up with the idea to use the money to bring joy to his community. With the money, he gifted some of his viewers new gaming PCs and donated the rest to charity.

How did he organize his big giveaway? HisWattson came up with the idea in October 2022 to run ads but save his advertising revenue to give back to his community. He wanted to support his viewers who couldn’t afford new gaming equipment.
For the action, he partnered with hardware manufacturer MSI, who organized the logistical aspect. Just before Christmas, HisWattson updated on Twitter, announcing that he had already distributed gaming PCs worth 20,000 US dollars.
He also decided to raffle off a gaming PC on Twitter. The remaining money was donated to charity. He supported a tournament financially that is specifically held for members of the BIPoC community.
He bought smaller gifts that were distributed to children and even paid for the surgery of a sick dog.
How does the community react? His viewers, as well as the larger gaming community, celebrate the action. Under HisWattson’s tweets, there are numerous positive comments praising him for his action. The well-known e-sports journalist Jake Lucky also picked up the story and shared it on his Twitter channel.
Who is HisWattson? The Apex Legends professional is named Jacob McMillin and plays for the team FURIA esports. With his team, he ranked eleventh in the ALGS 2022 Split One Pro League – North America. Additionally, his team secured third place in the JBL Quantum Cup 2022 – North America.
