Time and time again, players in Apex Legends show what they are capable of and what the maximum is that can be achieved from the legends. One player has taken a closer look at the popular healer Lifeline. She seems to be even stronger than thought.
This is the ability in question: One of Lifeline’s abilities is that her healing drone D.O.C. creates a shield when it lifts a downed ally. The shield is positioned in an arc in front of her and blocks all shots as long as she is reviving.
The shield is one of the abilities that make the legends unique in Apex Legends. The user iPNow has demonstrated on reddit what can be done with the shield. It can be used much more innovatively than just for pure reviving.
What makes the shield so strong: As the clip from iPNow shows, Lifeline can stop entire teams of opponents with her shield and then take them out. The strength lies in the fact that the shield is very resilient.
According to some players, it can break, but it absorbs so much damage that it cannot be dealt by just one player alone. However, while it is active, neither Lifeline nor her ally behind it can be attacked.
As iPNow now demonstrates, opponents must get close to him if they want to prevent him from reviving allies. That is exactly its goal. It lures enemies into close combat, where it has the advantage with a strong weapon combination for that distance while others fight with weapons that are hardly useful there.

What should I consider when countering the shield? If you ever find yourself in such a situation, there are several things you can do to defend against this tactic:
- Use grenades. These can be thrown over the shield to kill Lifeline
- Attack together. Even with strong weapons, Lifeline cannot defend against three opponents
- Eliminate downed enemies immediately so that they cannot be used as a target for Lifeline’s passive ability

Lifeline is already a very popular character and judging by the large approval of the thread, her popularity is likely to increase even more now. Many players find the performance remarkable and even joke about iPNow only “using” his downed allies.
What do you think of this method?
It works well with the Peacekeeper, but another weapon has taken quite a hit:
