In the course of the release of Apex Legends, Respawn commented on Titanfall 3. They stated that there is currently no other Titanfall project in the works.

The developers spoke about their work on this project and explained that they are currently not working on Titanfall 3. Fans hoping for a timely release will have to wait a little longer.
Respawn was secretly working on the free battle royale game Apex Legends. In August 2017, Respawn’s CEO Vince Zampella stated that the team was still working on Titanfall even after being acquired by EA. Many believed that Respawn was working on a sequel to Titanfall 2. But that is not the case.
That’s why they decided against big advertising beforehand: At a press event for Apex Legends, Respawn producer Drew McCoy explained to Eurogamer: “The world believes we are making Titanfall 3. But we are not. This [Apex Legends] is what we are making.”
They did not want to convince a skeptical audience with trailers and hands-on articles, but rather let the game speak for itself. They just wanted to release the game and let players play, McCoy says.

That’s why fans hoped for Titanfall 3: When Titanfall 2 was released in 2016, it did not catch a good release window. The release was right next to the two shooters Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Due to the huge competition, Titanfall 2 did not sell well. The fans who played it were in love, but the sales figures were a flop.
That’s why they hoped that for Titanfall 3 a better release window would be chosen.
When EA then acquired Respawn in 2017, it also became known that they were already working on a new Titanfall game. Fans were immediately hoping for the third part of the series. At that time, it was said, they were working on a Titanfall game, a Star Wars game, and a VR game.
In November 2018, there were many job postings on the EA website looking for people for a Titanfall project. Fans were again certain that it would be Titanfall 3. Their biggest concern was only the release window.
Now it is clear that the team is focusing all its attention on Apex Legends and is currently not working on Titanfall 3.
