The popular battle royale Apex Legends is giving away three heroes from its selection throughout February 2022. They are worth a total of 22 euros and there will also be free loot boxes available. However, those who want to get everything for free need to act quickly. Find out here on MeinMMO how you can snag the free goodies in Apex Legends.
Which legends are free? In February 2022, Apex Legends celebrates its anniversary with Season 12. The game was released almost out of nowhere on February 4, 2019, and revolutionized the battle royale world with numerous cool new ideas, such as the ping system.
Another top feature is the playable heroes, known as legends, each with unique abilities.
However, the new heroes had to be grinded out or purchased for 7.5 euros. But soon, three legends will be completely free:
In total, these three heroes are worth over 22 euros. But anyone who wants them needs to pay close attention.
Loot boxes worth 10 euros are free
When are the free legends available? Anyone wanting the three heroes should mark the following dates in their calendar. Because only during this time can you get the respective hero:
- Week 1 (February 8 – 15) for Octane
- Week 2 (February 15 – 22) for Wattson
- Week 3 (February 22 – March 1) for Valkyrie
Log in during the mentioned times to get the hero and more goodies. However, note that each legend is only available in the specified week. So, if you get Wattson in week 2, and you haven’t had Octane, you won’t get him in week 2.
Unfortunately, those who already have the heroes won’t receive anything additional.
What else can you get? What is always available are three additional loot boxes, each containing items that match the respective character. At the end of the month with Valkyrie, there’s even an additional box with legendary items.
The boxes are worth a total of 10 euros, so if you grab all three heroes and the 10 boxes, you save 32 euros!
This event is ideal for newcomers to the game. By the way, you can find out why this is a good idea here: More and more people are playing Apex Legends on Steam, and now I understand why.
