Weight and Ergonomics
The weight: At 58 grams, the gaming mouse is one of the particularly lightweight candidates among mice. In principle, I am as fast on the mousepad with the AOC mouse as with other lightweight models.
The ergonomics: The asymmetric ergonomics of the mouse feel good in the test, and the hole design is also not disturbing. It is also practical that one of the two thumb buttons on the left side is ribbed, providing particularly good grip.
However, the mouse feet on the underside of the model are not so good. They feel very thin and are also very small. This slightly restricts the gliding ability of the mouse on the mousepad when quick actions are needed. The mouse cable, however, does not pose any problem here.
Mouse Buttons and Scroll Wheel
The mouse buttons: AOC uses Kalih switches under the buttons, which they rate for 80 million clicks. The click sound is quiet and rather high-pitched and can no longer be heard during gaming with a headset. The clicks feel precise.
The scroll wheel, on the other hand, feels a bit mushy, as there is no definite notching or step of the scroll wheel. Additionally, the scroll wheel is also very soft, which emphasizes this slight notching further.
Conclusion: A good entry point if you don’t want to spend more than 40 Euros on a mouse
For whom is the mouse suitable? If you are looking for a lightweight gaming mouse and do not have high demands for your peripherals, you should take a look at the mouse from AOC. However, if you want extensive setting options via software, you should invest a few more Euros.
For those who only want to game occasionally, the model from AOC is completely sufficient. With its design, the mouse is primarily aimed at shooter players who do not need many buttons.
What alternatives are there?
