Anthem aims to offer players a lot. The activities in the game will also include dungeons and raids.
After the numerous reveals at E3 2018, the thirst for knowledge of Anthem fans is far from quenched. The developers are doing their best to answer the many questions, and interesting details keep coming to light. It has now been revealed that there will also be dungeons and raids in Anthem.
Anthem gets “Strongholds” – Raids for 4 players
Raids are called “Strongholds”. The particularly tough challenges in Anthem will be the so-called “Strongholds” – fortresses populated by particularly tough adversaries. According to Mark Darrah, these Strongholds can only be completed with a group, but are not necessary for the progression of the story. This already sounds suspiciously like an endgame content that can be tackled with friends after finishing the story.
Strongholds are for 4 players. The Strongholds are designed for groups of a total of four players. With fewer players, it will not even be possible to enter these places. You must either invite friends into the game or rely on the matchmaking to face these challenges.
Raids but not Destiny. Even though raids are not an invention of Destiny, players are increasingly recognizing parallels between the two games. Even if BioWare emphasizes that they are “not Destiny”.
Differences elsewhere. That Anthem and Destiny have clear differences can be well established at other points. Because Anthem will, according to the current status, not bring any PvP and be a pure PvE game. This gives the developers much more freedom in designing weapons and effects. An exact balancing of the weapons is then not necessary, as no “PvP fairness” needs to be established.
Are you looking forward to the Strongholds in Anthem? Or would you prefer to see everything in the game alone?
