EA unveiled its new IP at E3, aimed to compete with Destiny. The name of the new game is “Anthem.” The game is being developed by BioWare, and it was previously known as “Dylan.”
For a few seconds, “Anthem” was on display at E3. This is the new IP from BioWare, which we have been writing about more frequently in the past weeks. The game is slated for a release between April 2018 and May 2019. It was previously stated that “Anthem” will be a semi-MMO that focuses on science fiction and action.
Until now, the title was known under the codename “Dylan.”

The first look was only available for a few moments. A full reveal is expected tomorrow at Microsoft.
Apparently, EA is planning a collaboration with Microsoft. Prior to the teaser trailer for Anthem, the Xbox Scorpio was explicitly mentioned and praised. It seems that “Anthem” is intended to be a system seller for the Xbox Scorpio.
In the short trailer, there is talk of a “wall” that protects from the “outside.” There, one must live with their decisions, or they will die trying to change them.

Mein MMO says: Yes, one can speculate a lot now. At first glance, it looks like a dystopia, thus a “dark futuristic vision.” It is interesting that the threat from the outside feels “primeval,” while the weaponry inside is futuristic with combat suits. Of course, various images from well-known SF franchises come to mind: a wall around a city. An interior view of a kind of bazaar. Aliens and severe weather phenomena outside, Fallout-style combat suits.
We are definitely curious to see how “Anthem” will be presented tomorrow and whether we will get to see the first gameplay. How close the collaboration of EA with Microsoft and Xbox will be is also an exciting topic. What has been seen is definitely interesting. After all, it is said that Anthem will be the largest game BioWare has ever worked on.
