After a very quiet time, the Anthem developers are back and announce a new livestream. They want to showcase a new Stronghold that is set to be released in April.
Why quiet? Just yesterday, we reported that it has been very quiet around Anthem lately. A planned stream was canceled to allow more time for work on the April update.
Players were already waiting for the announcement of the next livestream. Even before the release of Anthem, the livestreams with the developers took place approximately every two weeks.
BioWare wants to show Stronghold: BioWare recently announced a livestream scheduled for next week. It is set to start on April 17 at around 10 PM German time.

The stream will be hosted by Ben Irving, the Lead Producer of Anthem. Along with a special guest, the new Stronghold “The Sunken Cell” will be introduced. The Stronghold is scheduled to be released later in April, but at a later date.
In April, more features for Anthem are expected, including:
- Mastery System
- New Freeplay Events
- Weekly Stronghold Challenges
- Leaderboards
- Guilds

This is what players say: In the Anthem subreddit and on Twitter, players are glad to finally hear something about the upcoming content. However, some are disappointed that BioWare is taking so much time with the new content. The missing content is one of the many issues with Anthem.

Additionally, they hope that “The Sunken Cell” is not just made of previously existing structures. User XxpogxzogxX says in the Anthem subreddit that the image of the new Stronghold looks like something that has already been seen in other Strongholds and Dungeons.
Some freelancers would still hope for a few bug fixes. On Reddit and also in the comments on our site MeinMMO, players report ongoing issues.
On Reddit user Ventrical fears that new content will bring even more problems. BioWare should first fix the major issues before introducing new content.
In other Strongholds, players deal so much damage that the final boss no longer wants to cooperate:
