The makers of Anthem have discussed the further plans. Some promised features have been postponed indefinitely.
Here is the new information: In a live stream about the new Patch 1.1.0, developer Bioware introduced the new Stronghold “The Sunken Cell”. In the process, some changes and fixes were also addressed.
However, there have been continuous questions about the other features that were supposed to come in April. At least according to the 90-day roadmap that Bioware published shortly after the release of Anthem.
In response, the developer has now addressed the issue in a Reddit post and announced that many of the planned contents will have to be postponed indefinitely.

Anthem postpones many planned features
Which planned features are affected? In advance, it was suspected that there could be postponements of all the missing April contents. Now that has been confirmed; these features are affected:
- The Mastery System
- Guilds
- The second phase of the Legendary Missions
- Weekly Stronghold Challenge
- Leaderboards
- New Freeplay Events
- Cataclysm
When can we expect the features? So far, there is no further information available.
Why are the contents being postponed? According to the developers, they have learned from their mistakes and want to focus on fixing bugs and glitches.
This also applies to other areas of the game that they want to improve.

Bioware is working on ways for players to test content
In the Reddit post, the developer elaborated on a few topics that are important to the community.
- This is what Bioware says about loot: They emphasize once again that they are aware of the loot problem and are working on it.
- This is what Bioware says about the Cataclysms: This feature is very important for Bioware; the team is currently working on it. The feature is supposed to provide new challenges and rewards, as well as advance the story. New information is expected in May.
- This is what Bioware says about its own communication: From now on, they only want to talk about new features that are closer to completion.
A lesson we have learned is that we spoke about things too early.

To allow fans to provide additional feedback, they are also working on a test environment for PC players, who can then test new features. There are no further details yet.
Bioware is aware that fans will likely be unhappy about the postponements. They hope that players understand that bug fixing is the top priority.
Furthermore, the developer emphasizes that they are committed to Anthem:
We believe in Anthem. We believe that the game will be great, but we acknowledge that it requires a lot of hard work. However, we want to get that hard work done and for you to join us on this journey.

During the stream, any questioners were referred to the text; the developers only spoke about the new patch.

The fans are not exactly thrilled
This is how the community reacts:
- The reactions are mixed. In the comments on the statement, the open communication of the developers is praised, for example.
- Others criticize the live stream, as the developers mostly ignored questions related to the postponed content.
- Overall, most commentators are disappointed to angry, as they were looking forward to new features.
