A new update has been released for Anthem, bringing some changes. Unfortunately, two bugs have crept in that affect players at a specific point: the loot.
What is the problem? On Tuesday, March 26, a new update for Anthem was released after maintenance. Patch 1.04 or 1.06 on the PS4 was supposed to bring new content and changes to the loot.
Shortly after the update was released, players reported unpleasantly:
- Bosses in Strongholds drop less loot after the patch than before
- Teammates can pick up their own loot for someone else
BioWare has already responded and confirmed that both issues are bugs. These are being investigated to provide a fix as soon as possible.
In the meantime, a hotfix has been released to address the issues.
Bosses drop less loot: This bug is what bothers players the most. Instead of giving players more loot, the final bosses in the strongholds are now dropping less loot due to the error.
Patch 1.04 was supposed to ensure that the bosses would drop additional loot next to the guaranteed Masterwork item. This loot was also supposed to have a chance to be Masterwork or Legendary.
Other players are picking up loot: Other players in the squad can now pick up their own loot for someone else since the update. And this, even though they can’t even see the foreign loot. The loot is not stolen, as it goes directly into the hands of the rightful owner.
However, after the update, bosses do not drop a guaranteed Masterwork item anymore. Some players report that they received only Embers for crafting from a boss.

While some players are upset about this, others don’t find this change that bad: Some freelancers report that a teammate picked up valuable loot for them that they would have otherwise overlooked.
The “Lava Challenge”, a game created by the Anthem community, has thus been thwarted.
Players do not receive cosmetic items: Some players also report that they cannot find the cosmetic items in the new Elysian Caches. However, the Anthem community manager Jesse Anderson has already commented on this topic and proposed a simple fix.
After receiving the rewards from the Elysian Store, but unable to find them, you should log out and log back in. If you obtained items for a specific Javelin, you must switch to that one first to see the rewards.
