The upcoming update will bring some quality-of-life changes to Anthem. Among other things, the forge and the vault are set to be improved. There will be fewer loading screens.
What changes are coming? In the livestream on March 20, BioWare announced some changes and improvements for Anthem. These are expected to be included with patch 1.04, which is planned for next week. There is still no exact date for the update.
A summary of the last livestream can be found here in the Anthem subreddit and as a VoD on Twitch.
What will be changed in the forge? With the upcoming update, the forge in Anthem is set to be revamped. Just like the mission selection, you should be able to access the forge with the patch from anywhere in Fort Tarsis. The mission selection was changed with patch 1.03.
The forge is not expected to have a loading screen with the update. It doesn’t matter if you access the forge from the loading ramp or from anywhere in Fort Tarsis.
Players have complained that they are constantly stuck in loading screens in Anthem – one source of that is now being removed.
In the forge, your equipped items will soon be displayed all in a row. This way, you can see at a glance which gear you have equipped in which loadout.
These changes are intended to be just a step towards gradually improving the forge.

What are the QoL changes? The developers also mentioned performance improvements that will come with the patch during the livestream. However, this is an ongoing project that will never be finished.
- Various FOV sliders will be added for the PC version of Anthem to adjust the field of view. Players are requesting something similar for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
- Items will be able to be salvaged almost instantly with the upcoming patch.
- Additionally, the thrusters of the Javelin will be improved by 20%. The overheating time has been reduced by 20%. – Players will be able to fly longer and faster.

Changes to Strongholds and Quickplay: BioWare is planning some improvements to strongholds and missions.
- Many invisible barriers in strongholds that kept freelancers from their teammates and sometimes also from their loot have been removed.
- Improvements have also been made regarding the buggy quickplay missions: If missions run for more than 15 minutes, matchmaking will be blocked for them. You should now enter less empty missions.
- Moreover, you can no longer be placed in strongholds that have been running for longer than 2 minutes through matchmaking. This should put an end to the constant starting at the monitor in the Heart of Rage. However, quickplay is exempt from this change.
