When Anthem officially releases on February 22, there will also be a Day-One Patch. We have compiled some highlights from the patch notes for you.
Why Day-One Update? Anthem started Early Access on PC and Xbox One on February 15 in Early Access. With the help of players, several issues were identified that will be addressed with an update at the official release on February 22.
We have already presented seven changes to Anthem, with more to follow in the update.
Where do the patch notes come from? A user posted the changes for the Day-One Patch in the Anthem subreddit. He stated that he was from the press and had received the changes from BioWare’s PR.
The patch notes were not published by BioWare themselves. However, an Anthem developer has already commented on the post, so it is likely that the changes are accurate.

Changes: The Day-One Update brings a whole range of practical changes to Anthem. We have picked out a few highlights that you shouldn’t miss.

Bugs
- Loading times have been improved
- Many “infinite loading screens” have been fixed
- Several issues were resolved where challenges were not tracked properly
- Some issues with disconnects and crashes were fixed
Loot
- Loot display and expedition overview are now correctly played at the end of the expedition screen
- Players who have been defeated now receive the correct loot
- The final boss of the strongholds now drops loot instead of just being displayed at the end of the expedition screen
- A problem was fixed where masterwork components had no inscriptions under certain circumstances
Javelin
- The game no longer gets stuck in the Javelin menu when the second, third, or fourth Javelin is unlocked
- Colossus can now activate his shield faster after using an ability or firing a weapon
- Storm now responds when hit while his shields are active
- An exploit was fixed where Storm’s ultimate attack was used more often than intended
- Colossus can now use his shield and revive simultaneously
- The Interceptor combo aura has been enhanced and now has a component that deals damage over time
Improvements
- At the end of the expedition screen, players no longer get stuck on “Recording Victories” or “Skipping All”
- After a disconnect, players are returned to the squad they were previously in during a new expedition
- A problem was fixed where players got stuck at the end of the expedition screen in certain situations
