With the upcoming update 1.04, chests will be added to Anthem. Players will access them after defeating the endboss of the Strongholds. As BioWare has now announced, these chests will not contain cosmetic armors.
What are Elysian Caches? Elysian Caches will be added to Anthem with the next patch 1.04. Players are supposed to reach these chests after defeating the endboss of a fortress.
To open the caches, the Elysian Caches, however, keys are required, which freelancers can obtain through daily challenges. With the chests, the entire team receives rewards. So if four players open the chests, all of them will also receive four rewards.
We have more highlights from Patch 1.04/1.06 here for you.
What is included in the caches? Elysian Caches are supposed to contain only cosmetic items and Ember for crafting. In a livestream before the release of Anthem, the developers stated that about 100 different items can be found in the chests.

There was talk, among other things, about gestures, vinyls, or various poses, such as during victories or when spawning.
No armors in the chests: As BioWare developer Chris Schmidt stated over Discord, the Elysian Caches will not contain cosmetic armors. Schmidt, along with community manager Jesse Anderson, was seen in the last Anthem livestream and spoke about the cosmetic chests.
In response to a player’s question about when armor sets can be earned in the game, Lead Producer Ben Irving responded on Twitter that the Elysian Caches will be added to Anthem next week. Many players thus assumed that armors would also be in the chests.
Chris Schmidt has now announced over Discord, confirming that Irving’s response was incorrect and that players should not expect armors in the chests.

What are players saying? In the Anthem Subreddit, some players express disappointment. In their opinion, there are simply too few armor parts in Anthem, let alone sets.
Player Snschl summarizes: “Honestly, I’m a bit stunned that all cosmetics must be bought in the store. Sure, you can earn the coins, but have no cosmetics to earn in the game…?”
j_harv asks: “Do they [BioWare] just have one armor and weapon designer working a few hours each month?”
Before the patch next week, you should check out the Monument Watch in Anthem. It currently behaves a bit strangely:
