Although no one expected it, Anthem made a brief appearance at EA’s live show during E3 at EA Play 2019. What’s new?
Why did no one expect Anthem? EA did not list the game in its official lineup for E3. However, there was a brief appearance between the presentations of FIFA 20 and Madden 20.
Ben Irving, the head of the team responsible for Anthem’s live service, took the stage. There he answered questions about the current situation of Anthem and what the future holds.
Anthem has “a bright future”
This is what Irving says about the current situation: According to Irving, the team has learned a lot in the last 4 months. Above all, they have focused on gathering feedback and implementing it better.

“Does Anthem even have a future?”
This is what Irving says about the future of Anthem: In response to the rather harsh question of whether Anthem will have a future, Irving replied: “Yes, Anthem has a future. A very bright one indeed […].”
They have learned a lot and want to make the game better together with the community. However, they know that they have a lot of work ahead of them before they build the game that everyone wants together with the players.
