In some servers of the Open Demo of Anthem, an unknown phenomenon has appeared in the sky. It may be related to the event that is supposed to take place this evening, on 3.2..
What happened? If you are lucky and currently playing the Open Demo of Anthem, you can observe a strange phenomenon in the sky. It appears to be a kind of weather phenomenon; at least the clouds are swirling around a reddish glowing spot in the sky.
Many suspect that this is an announcement for the “cool” event scheduled for this evening. At the end of the VIP demo, developer Bioware announced a kind of event.
When does the event start? It is supposed to start in the afternoon on 3.02.. However, by afternoon, they mean American time. For us, whatever it is, it should take place between 8 PM and 2 AM.
Update, 18:39: There are now news in the demo. The login message now reads: “The Storm: A strange storm is brewing in the sky. It is rumored that giants are roaming the land. Go to “Freeplay”, Freelander – we need your help beyond the walls.”
Whether this is just the first phase or will remain so from now on is unclear.
Update 19:42: Anthem tweets, “It’s not just the weather. BIG things are happening in the world.” Players report they have encountered titans that are significantly larger than usual.
It seems that not every instance has such a storm event, but the event can only be seen in some.

Update, 4.2. 9:16: After the giant titan appeared, nothing further happened. The demo is over. It was supposed to be a preview of what is possible in the game.
Is the event a Shaper Storm?
What is a Shaper Storm? Not much is known about these storms yet. It is certain that they are supposed to be part of the world events in Anthem. They can appear at any time during your expeditions.
They are so powerful that they are said to influence space and time. Players can even fly into these storms. What exactly awaits you inside, Bioware has kept a secret so far.
This indicates a Shaper Storm: On the one hand, such a weather phenomenon is already a clear sign pointing to such a storm. On the other hand, it would simply be cool to end the demo with such a bang.
It should be “a glimpse of the cool” things, as the “Head of Live Service”, Chad Robertson, made clear in his announcement. What could be more fitting than such a storm? Players have already speculated about this at the beginning of the past week.
You can see what such a storm looks like at the end of this video about Anthem:
If the timestamp does not work, you can go directly to minute 5:43.
