In Anthem you will encounter various enemies. However, when it comes to the Scars, you should pay attention to one detail.
What are the Scars? Scars are one of the enemy types in Anthem. They are insect-like humanoids that specifically seek Shaper relics. The Scar attack with various units, such as Escari, Hunters, or Scouts, and usually appear silently through their drills.

What’s up with the cave? As some players report on the Anthem subreddit, freelancers should pay close attention to the Scar drills when they are looking for loot. If you destroy the drills, there is a chance that a cave is hidden beneath.
According to players, you can find a few more enemies in these caves. If you can take them out, you will be rewarded at the end of the cave with a chest full of loot.

Where do we know this from? The loot cave at the end of the drill sounds almost like the portal of the goblins from Diablo 3. In that action RPG, there are goblins that reward players with various items upon their demise, depending on their type.
Some of these goblins also leave a portal to the “Realm of Treasures”. There, you have to face more goblins and creatures and ultimately deal with greed itself.
The portal to the Realm of Treasures can be opened by a goblin or via Kanai’s Cube.

What do the players say? In a post on the Anthem subreddit, the player popnlocke is currently drawing attention to the drill caves. Many players are surprised and questioning whether the caves really exist.
Others report that they encountered these caves during missions or legendary contracts and therefore could not inspect them.
Some freelancers report that they have seen these caves, but were prevented from entering the loot caves during missions because of the automatic “catch-up” mechanics.
The “catch-up” mechanics have already been slightly weakened by the latest patch.
