- In WoW, there is currently a discussion about whether Horde and Alliance should play together. This discussion was initiated by Ion Hazzikostas. Furthermore, 2 racy references and the emote “Spit” have been removed from WoW.
- Final Fantasy XIV is now the most-watched MMORPG on Twitch. This means it has replaced WoW, which previously dominated the charts.
- Guild Wars 2 has released new details about the alliances update in WvW. The first phase is set to be tested starting September 24 (via GW2).
- Heavy Metal Challenges are taking place throughout September in ESO. Additionally, there was an uproar about a raid group that was banned for an exploit.
- RuneScape made headlines twice. On one hand, a new bundle was introduced in the RuneScape 3 shop, which many considered to be Pay2Win. On the other hand, a player created a mod for the enhancement of Old School RuneScape in about 2,000 hours, which the developers banned.
