The May update of the MMORPG Lost Ark was packed with content and improvements in the game. However, a few bugs have slipped in. One of these bugs can even ruin raids or cost loot. MeinMMO shows you the annoying bug and lists possible solutions that players have found.
What kind of bug is this? The May update brought tons of improvements and new content, but unfortunately also a few bugs.
One of these bugs occurs for many players – your mouse cursor forms a deep connection with an item and/or a menu button and won’t let go. As a result, you lose the ability to click on things. Unfortunately, this is often essential to be able to play at all.
On the discussion platform reddit, user “Sagezu” shared a clip showing how the bug ruined a raid for him:
Sagezu had to quit the game to fix the bug, resulting in him losing his raid group, which he could join after a long search through the party finder. However, the thread also contains other solutions.
Cursor bug strikes randomly – solutions don’t always work
The thread about the bug received nearly 200 comments on reddit, with many reporting similar experiences with a broken cursor.
How nasty and annoying the bug can be seems just as random as its occurrence. Some have the problem in the city – so they can easily log out briefly and detach the confused cursor from the item.
One user experienced the bug at the end of his “Abyss Dungeons” and was unable to purchase the bonus chests he would have otherwise taken.
Currently, it seems important that you have an appropriate solution ready at hand. The thread on the topic on reddit contains several suggestions:
- Restart the game
- Log out and log back in
- Change area (loading screen helps)
- Change instance
- In the “Market” menu, press “Register”
- Go to your stronghold
For most commentators in the thread, the bug doesn’t seem to be a problem. If the solutions don’t work, a restart always helps for sure in the end.
But when you don’t know how to deal with it, the problems start.
Additionally, there apparently seem to be different severity levels of the bug. Thread creator Sagezu was apparently hit by the hardest version – he could no longer click on anything else on his screen, and in the end, a complete restart was the only option.
Lost Ark has served up quite a feast in the May update, but it has also brought some hiccups.
