In Hearthstone there is currently a rather bizarre bug that steals players’ cards. Are you affected by it as well?
Especially the mobile version of Hearthstone has been experiencing quite a few issues since the latest expansion “Saviors of Uldum”. Players report numerous bugs that lead to crashes or extremely long wait times. However, one bug has proven to be particularly annoying, as it affects players’ cards – even cards that cannot actually be removed!
What is the bug? Some players report that some basic cards have disappeared from their collection. However, these were definitely not just disenchanted since basic cards cannot be disenchanted. They represent the “standard” with which every player starts and are unlocked over the first levels of a class. Therefore, these cards cannot be crafted either.
There is another version of this bug where players suddenly have more than 2 copies of basic cards in their collection. This should also not be possible. Each basic card should only be available in two copies.
Why is this so bad? Basic cards are, although not necessarily exceptionally strong, an important component of many decks. They give classes in Hearthstone their identity and are “permanently” available cards that (with very few exceptions) never rotate out of the game. For example, mages can always count on their Fireball, and druids can always rely on their Ironbark Protector.
Suddenly not possessing these cards is not only confusing for players but also a significant obstacle in deck building.
We have highlighted more bugs of the mobile version here.
What can be done? The affected players are talking about various “tricks” to restore the cards. For some, simply restarting the game apparently helps. Others recommend going into the collection and then to a specific deck, as if they wanted to edit it.

If none of this helps, perhaps you should write a support ticket to Blizzard.
So far, Blizzard has not made any statement regarding this. Given the frequency with which this bug is reported, one can assume that the problem is known.
Are you also affected by this bug? Or can you play without issues?
