There are some animes that you really can only watch once. Once you know the secret behind the series, the plot loses its magic or the threat that it posed.
This may be due to a major plot twist. It can turn out that a villain actually had good intentions, or vice versa. Sometimes it even turns out that you misjudged the whole series, just based on the looks and the initial atmosphere.
For the list, we only consider animes that we can also recommend. It is therefore purely subjective and not selected in any particular order or rating.

What is it about? The student Koichi Sakakibara transfers to a new middle school. But he immediately notices that something is wrong with the class. Everyone seems frightened and is under extreme tension. The boy befriends a mysterious classmate with an eye patch. However, all students and even the teachers completely ignore her, as if she were air.
Over time, he realizes that a curse hangs over the school. 26 years ago, a popular student in the class died. His classmates could not accept the loss and acted as if he were still alive. They even left a seat free for him. Since then, a curse has been placed on class 3-3. Every month, a student or a close relative dies in bizarre ways. The aim is to stop this curse.
Why can it only be watched once? The curse is triggered by the fact that every year a dead person mixes among the living. The person often does not even know that they are dead and appears completely normal to everyone else. As long as this excess person is in the class, all others die.
The anime is a large puzzle game and has 2 main questions: Does the girl with the eye patch really exist? Who is the dead one? Once these two puzzles are solved, the anime loses its horror and its impact. The second time, you only pay attention to the clues and the fear of the unknown is completely gone.
