The new MMORPG Hero’s Destiny on Steam wants to avoid much-hated elements and connect anime with the good sides of the genre.
Which game is it about? Hero’s Destiny is a new MMORPG in anime style from indie developer BeByte Publisher. Players can expect two factions that want to take the game in different directions.
As a player, you join one of the sides and represent this in battles for territories and zones. Gameplay-wise, the developers promise an action combat system that can also be played with a controller.
The fights are said to be characterized by combo chains in the style of Blade and Soul. So those who manage to string the right abilities together at the right moment should be able to take out whole hordes of enemies at once.

How is the MMORPG oriented? The developers of Hero’s Destiny want to tailor their MMORPG for both types of players. There will be a vast world that can not only be explored but also conquered through wars.
At the same time, PvE fans can look forward to dungeons and raids, where complex challenges await players and typical roles of tank, healer, and damage dealer can be battled. In addition to large world bosses, players can also expect enough loot and levels to further optimize their character build.
The social aspect of the MMORPG should not be neglected either. It seems that the game is designed to fight for dominance in the game world in large guilds and alliances in the endgame. In the guilds, players will receive additional advantages to enhance their characters.
What does the monetization look like? The developers promise to explicitly avoid pay-to-win and auto-play elements from the start. It is stated in the Steam description: “In the shop, players will only find items that do not influence game progress. Our goal is to create an environment where fun and performance are always at the forefront.”
It is still unclear how they intend to generate revenue in the long term. It is conceivable that the title will be offered for a purchase price after the beta.
When does the beta start? The beta for Hero’s Destiny has been running since April 1, 2026, for 15 days, until April 16, 2026. The developers refer to the playtest as an open beta. Interested players still need to secure one of the many keys that will be distributed in waves through the MMORPG’s Discord.
For participation, the developers promise some gifts to users on Steam. A guide on how to obtain a key will be shared by the developers on Steam.
Whether an indie studio can really create a good MMORPG that meets the high expectations for quality content remains to be seen. Interested players can already get a first impression.
