YouTuber TheXclusiveAce has thoroughly examined all weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. This resulted in a list of the weapons and their most important values. Find out here which guns are the strongest in Battle Royale.
What kind of list is this? TheXclusiveAce has collected data on all weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. He has listed important values such as:
- Time-to-Kill (TTK)
- Number of shots needed for a kill (STK, “shots to kill”)
- Damage per shot and per second (DPS)
- Rate of fire
For the TTK and STK values, he has broken down how much time and how many shots are needed based on the armor plates the opponent wears. He then transferred the numbers into a table that can be viewed on Google Docs.
For some weapons (assault rifles and submachine guns), Ace has also listed mods that change the behavior of the guns. The list is quite long but easy to navigate. We have embedded it here as an image for you:
Which is the strongest weapon now?
This is how you read the numbers correctly: In the table, you need to be able to interpret the values correctly. The Oden has the highest damage of all automatic weapons, but also the lowest rate of fire, which significantly impairs its DPS value and “Time to Kill”.
Conversely, the M4A1 with the .458 magazine attachment statistically has the highest DPS, but only ten shots in the magazine, making it nearly useless in this regard.
This is the strongest weapon: Considering all the numbers, the probably strongest weapon is the submachine gun AUG with the 5.56 NATO magazine attachment. This roughly corresponds to its secret variant, the Steyr AUG.
That it is the strongest weapon has already been highlighted in our guide to the best weapons and setups for your personal loadouts. In general, its strengths are:
- its rate of fire is about average for submachine guns
- its DPS values are rather aligned with those of assault rifles
- it has the lowest TTK on three armor plates of all automatic weapons
It is therefore the best choice for all encounters except at close range or very long distance, where it is outperformed by sniper rifles and shotguns.
HDR or AX-50 – Which is the best sniper?
In the community, there are ongoing discussions about which of the two popular sniper rifles is actually better. Their values are nearly identical in almost all areas, making the choice difficult.
In general, the AX-50 has a higher rate of fire, resulting in a higher DPS value than the HDR. On the other hand, the HDR is more stable over longer distances and has a higher effective range. Roughly, it can be distinguished that it depends on the player which weapon is better:
- The AX-50 is better when the player hits shots well or is in a “sniper battle” because it reloads faster and has less upward recoil.
- The HDR is stronger when you need reliable aim at long distances and more target stability; it also has faster aiming time with attachments than the AX-50.
Both weapons can kill instantly with a headshot at any distance even with three armor plates. Tips to become a better sniper can be found here. How you customize them with attachments is something you have to decide for yourself what suits you better.
Ace has also made a video on this topic in which he goes into the differences and advantages of both weapons:
What good is this list to me?
The list of weapons and values can help you decide which weapons to pick up in a round or add to your loadouts. One tip from us: don’t force yourself to use a weapon just because it’s strong – it won’t give you any kills. If you’re not comfortable with it, switch to something that suits you better. Once you’ve decided on a weapon, here are some helpful tips for winning:
